Thanks Paul. Comments like this keep me going. As you gather, I am spending a fair amount of time making comments on blogs. I also am trying not to write short frequent posts like so many bloggers do...but longer, less frequent, more valuable posts.

Thanks for putting a timeline of your progress (5 months) in your comment. I know that you are being successful with your online business, so that will help myself and others to get a grip on how long this may take.

Regarding your new ebook, I am on my way over to your site right now!

Hi Evan,

Firstly I must say nice work with this blog, you really seem to be making fast progress, especially considering your blog hasn't been online very long.

You are progressing much faster on the blogging front than I did when I was brand new, which was only 5 months ago btw!

As for traffic generation, you are doing the right thing in not using software to build backlinks. So far I've done all my backlink building and traffic generation 100% myself. It does take time like you say, but if you stick at it, it will start to pay off.

Coincidently, I'm just about to release my first ebook, which is all about the methods I've used to generate traffic, and my journey so far... You can claim a free copy on my blog if you're interested?

For now, just keep on doing what you're doing and making yourself known on the other students blogs... Let me tell you, you're doing a pretty good job so far, I'm seeing you on nearly every blog I've visited today! :)

Keep in touch mate!

Paul.
