Learn How To Become A Successful EBay Powerseller

So first off what’s a PowerSeller?

PowerSellers are the people on eBay who’ve made it, recognisably by the little ‘PowerSeller’ badge next to their eBay name. You’ve probably seen these people around and to succeed on eBay, you want to start thinking the way they do.

If you’ve ever read an article before about eBay, you will have already seen the kinds of income people make. It isn’t unusual to hear of people making thousands or millions of dollars every month on eBay.

How do People Become EBay PowerSellers?

EBay gets to decide who can be a PowerSeller and who can’t, and they have strict requirements. To get in at the minimum PowerSeller level, you must have a feedback rating of at least 100 (minimum 98% positive) and make at least $1,000 worth of items every month for three months in a row.

There are different levels of PowerSeller memberships as you sell items of greater value; here are the rankings below.

Silver Powerseller: You must make at least $3,000 every month
Gold Powerseller: You must make at least $10,000 every month
Platinum Powerseller: You must make a least $25,000 every month
Titanium Powerseller: You must make at least $150,000 every month

If PowerSellers ever fail to meet there required amount of sales, or their feedback falls below 98% positive, they will then lose their PowerSeller status. In short, the only people who get to be PowerSellers on eBay are the people who have been successful for a good while, and intend to keep it that way.

When you’re on eBay next, take a look at how many different PowerSellers there actually are, and you’ll find quite a few of them around. The fact that these people actually do exist gives you an idea of the income possibilities there are on eBay. Most of them never set out to set up a business on eBay they just simply started selling a few things and kept on going.

There are plenty of people who work full-time selling on eBay, and some of them have even been doing it for years now. Can you imagine that? Once they’ve bought the stock, everything else is pretty much pure profit for these people and they don’t need to pay for any business premises, staff, or anything else. There are multi-million pound businesses making less in actual profit than eBay PowerSellers do.

What’s more, eBay doesn’t care who you are, where you live, or what you look like: some PowerSellers are very old, or very young. Some may even live out in the middle of nowhere but selling on eBay is one of the few alternatives to farming or being very poor. There are no job interviews and no commuting involved – if you can post things, you can do it.
How to think like a Powerseller

This is the most important part of understanding how PowerSellers think. They don’t see what they’re doing as being a hobby – instead, they see themselves as business people.

Put it like this. If you run a stall in a marketplace, the chances are that you have a general area of business, but you mostly just sell whatever you can get your hands on that week. If your dodgy buddy got his hands on a job lot of something at a discount price, then that’s what you’ll be selling. This might be fun when you have a good week, you’ll have a really good week – but it’s no way to run a real business for sure in the long-term.

PowerSellers think far more like legal shops. They sell the same things again and again, every week selling regular stock to regular customers. They do ‘boring’ business things like keep inventories and budgets. They know what they’re going to be selling, how much they buy it for and how much they expect to sell for. Just like a real shop, there can be hard times sometimes, but their income is stable and their business can grow slowly.

The best advice I can give you on thinking like a PowerSeller is this: don’t take long-term risks for short-term gains. Look after your reputation, manage your selling properly, provide good customer service and the rewards will come to you in due course. And you’ll get a little badge next to your name that makes people trust you even more!

One possibility that you might have understood so far is what eBay can do for any other businesses you might have. Remember, millions of people visit eBay every day so why keep everything separate when you’re starting to tap into that kind of power?

An Absolute Beginner’s Guide to EBay Auctions

There are a few things that you really need to know before you start selling on EBay.

What to Sell.

First off, you need to know what it is you’re going to sell on eBay:

Have a think what’s your specialty or what your interests are? You’ll do far better on eBay if you become a great source for certain kind of products, as people who are interested in those products will come back and buy from you again and again. You won’t get any loyalty or great feedback if you just sell rubbish at auctions or stupid prices.

When you think about what you want to sell, there are a few other things you need to consider. The most important of these is to always sell what you know about or what you enjoy selling. If you try to sell something that you just don’t know anything about then you’ll never comply a good auction description and sell it for a good price.

You should then consider which things you could actually get for good enough prices to resell, and then delivery costs on top depending on the type of product you have for sale that is.

Always Prepare Yourself.

There are always going to be ups and downs when you start selling on eBay. Don’t give up if something goes a little wrong with your first few sales: the sellers who are successful on eBay are the ones who enjoy it, and have stuck at it no matter what has happened. You are the only person who can learn from your mistakes.

Anyone can become a seller on eBay, as long as they believe in themselves – and if you do decide that selling on eBay is not for you, not to worry as the start-up costs are so low that you won’t lose anything.

So if you’re ready, you now need to know about the different types of auctions eBay has to offer, you can then decide which one you will use to sell your items.

Over the years, eBay has introduced all sorts of different auction types, in an effort to give people different options for when they buy or sell their things on eBay.

Take a look at the list below:

Normal Auctions

These are the auctions everyone knows about: buyers bid, others outbid them, they bid again, and the winner gets the item. It’s that simple.

Reserve Auctions.

Reserve auctions are for sellers who don’t want their items to sell for less than a certain price – a concept you’ll know about if you’re familiar with real auctions. They work just like normal auctions on eBay, except that the buyer will be told if their bid does not meet the reserve price you set, and they’ll need to bid again if they want the item. If no-one is willing to meet your price, then the auction is cancelled, and you keep the item.

But It Now Auctions.

Buy it now auctions can work in one of two ways. You can add a Buy it Now button to a normal auction, meaning that buyers can choose either to bid normally or to simply pay the asking price and avoid the whole bidding process. Some sellers, though, now cut out the auction process altogether and simply list all their items at a fixed price. This lets you avoid all the complications of the auction format and simply list your items for how much you want them to sell for.

Recently, eBay added a twist to fixed price auctions: the ‘best offer’. This means that buyers can contact you to negotiate a price, which could be a good way to sell some extra stock at a small discount. The only downside to reserve and fixed price auctions is that you pay a small extra fee to use these formats. In general, it is worth using reserve auctions for higher-priced items and fixed price auctions for lower-priced ones – remember that you can combine the two formats.

Multiple Item (’Dutch’) Auctions

These are auctions where you can sell more than one of a certain item. Dutch auctions can be done by bidding. Buyers bid a price and say how many items they want, and then everyone pays the lowest price that was bid by one of the winning bidders. If you have trouble getting your head around that, don’t worry – everyone else does too!

Making More Money on EBay and Other Auction Sites

Auction sites are the way many Americans buy holiday presents and everyday items, and if you are ready to start making more money trading on these sites [...]

Do You Know How To Post Your First Auction On Ebay?

It’s very easy and simple to get started posting your first auction on eBay. This article will cover the steps you need to follow to get your first auction up.

Alex Jeffreys Coaching Can Make You Successful

Money is in the list- this is what the basic principle that Alex Jeffreys coaching is all about. Building link is equivalent to making more money without investing majorly. The importance of link building was brought to the online business novices by internet marketing guru Alex Jeffrey.

He also says that one should not chase the money but let money chase you. This is indeed a catchy remark. For people who are struggling with their online businesses, Alex Jeffreys coaching is one remarkable source of information to succeed in the internet business. Merely creating mailing lists, you are not doing justice to your business at all. Not all of them who have subscribed for your mailing list even pay attention to the mails you send them. The possibility is that they simply delete the mail or retain it as an unread message or move it to the spam folder.

Building a list is never so difficult if you follow Alex Jeffrey’s principles of making money. The common mistake that people do is to initiate a business with profit in mind. When this happens, people tend to neglect the policy of delivering quality services to their new business clients. This is where the whole drawback lies and this is indeed the fact why your business is not at all faring well. Alex says that when you start with a new business venture, make sure you give your client the best you can. He will surely stick to you by providing you more projects and lets you earn more than usual.

Alex Jeffreys – A New Form of Coaching

Many people and particularly more so during this time of financial stress called the credit crunch are concerned about their future. Specifically people worry about the threat of being paid off or made redundant. Even the biggest and previously considered strongest of corporations are looking decidedly shaky during this current turmoil.

This is why more and more people are looking for ways of wresting control of their financial security away from these corporations to themselves. After all if you have more control you feel safer knowing your efforts can directly relate to your success.

So what are people turning to in order to at least give themselves an avenue of income that may be in addition to what they already enjoy or could provide their main income if their current employer fails.

The internet is providing many people with dreams of financial safety and a way of taking that control and fulfilling those dreams. Yet, there is an even larger number of people for whom the internet has become a disappointment.

Unfortunately some of the guru’s seem to have lost touch with the ordinary person on the street who wants the nice income but has little understanding of what is involved in starting and maintaining an internet business.

There are so many “get rich” quick schemes available the choice can be overwhelming. Let’s face it there were enough “get rich” quick schemes before the internet arrived never mind now that it is in full flow.

There is proof though people who are willing to learn and persist can make more than a decent living from an internet business. Indeed it can be heartening to the newbie to see proof of someone who went from rags to riches. Unfortunately some of the guru’s seem to have lost touch with the ordinary person on the street who wants the nice income but has little understanding of what is involved in starting and maintaining an internet business.

That is why it is refreshing to hear of a newish player to the world of internet business and internet marketing who has made it and wants to help others follow in his footsteps.

Alex Jeffreys had struggled to get going on the internet just like anyone else. His breakthrough cam when aligned himself with some of the most effective internet marketers around. Some refer to them as the internet gurus.

This strategic shift enabled him to make those shifts in what he thought would work for his online business to what would actually succeed for him. Sometimes all it takes is a change in perception to make the difference between repeated failure and spectacular success.

One of Alex Jeffreys changes has been in building relationships without promoting his business. It seems his major strategy is to form and cement a friendship and then to broach business ventures. After all it’s harder to refuse a friend’s invitation to a joint venture than it is a complete stranger. Of course building trust is a major asset in any relationship.

Alex Jeffreys in turn is now building his internet empire you might say. Part of that is helping 500 people, now referred to as Alex Jeffreys students to repeat what he has done.

Alex’s courses and training are packed with vital information but above all the sense of belong and mutual support between the students has been exceptional and probably why Alex Jeffreys is more likely to succeed and anyone who joins him.

Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program Supports New Student Success

The business of internet marketing, whilst still young in years, is well trodden and forever evolving. A number of people have managed to make and maintain impressive income levels through the sale of downloadable (and sometimes shipped) information products.

These information products may be about any subject you care to think of. From how to train your new puppy to starting a business from your spare room. All of these products have one thing in common, they need effective marketing know-how and strategies to make them sell.

Anyone can sell one or two products on an occasionally basis. What separates the main players from the stragglers is the sheer volume and frequency volume products sold. Some internet marketers have honed their marketing machines so well it is almost akin to an income on demand. A virtual slot machine if you like that pays out every time.

This is impressive and anyone who wants a more comfortable life could be tempted by the potential of getting on board the internet marketing gravy train. And they do just that and invest anything from $50 to a tens of thousands of dollars with the hope that they too can repeat what others have done.

Unfortunately not everyone makes the great. Indeed the incidence of investment in internet products and the lack of even a return on the original investment must be high. However it is not necessarily the case the marketing training purchased lacked some crucial aspect. More often than not the would be web marketer found the whole process too complicated and they didn’t have the staying power to persist and see things through.

This is where a different approach to helping new web marketers to get going is needed. As if by magic this seems to be happening. A new internet marketer who has already enjoyed a 6 figure income and if you like, proved himself, is finding a way of supporting the first tentative steps of the newbie marketer.

Not only that but he has found away of developing such trust and excitement amongst his students that the students not only get to lead on the sort of training they need but they also have formed a self-supporting forum. Success breeds success as they say and anyone who has joined this program seems more destined for success because of the way the program has been designed.

For the lucky few who managed to sign up to Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program and list building courses the future has never looked rosier. With weekly training sessions and supportive videos a number of the students are already earning and yet encouraging the other students to follow their lead.

It just goes to prove that when one person goes the extra mile the difference can be quite phenomenal.

Ebook Review- Easy Profit Auctions

WEBSITE DETAILS

Subject: A collection of resources to help you succeed with digital products on eBay by creating multiple streams of income.

ABOUT ALEX JEFFREYS (CREATOR OF EASY PROFIT AUCTIONS)

Alex Jeffreys got started selling information products online by reading Jim Cockrum’s ebook The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay. At 23 he quit his full time job to become a full time Internet Marketer. Alex has also created a number of his own digital products.

ABOUT THE EASY PROFIT AUCTIONS WEBSITE

The Easy Profit Auctions system provides you with a number of resources to help you use eBay as a platform to create multiple streams of income. The website is split into the following sections, each of which I will explain in the paragraphs below:

- System!!

- Introduction!!

- Index!!

- Ebay!!

- Videos!!

- Bonuses!!

- Tools!!

- Audios!!

- Support!!

- Forum!!

The first section is “System” which funnily enough provides you with an overview of the Easy Profit Auctions system. In this section Alex explains ‘Where to Start’, ‘The best way to set up your System’ and ‘What you will achieve once your system is in Place’. He then finishes this section with an article entitled ‘35 Different ways to build a Mailing List’. Overall, this section does contain some useful tips but it is mainly a summary of the rest of the website contents. However, the article ‘35 Different ways to build a Mailing List’ is very informative and contains lots of useful ideas – some of which I already use and others which I plan to implement.

Next is the “Introduction” section. In this section Alex gives readers an insight into his background and how he got started online. He cites Jim Cockrum’s The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay as his main inspiration, a recommendation which I also back. He also explains that just because your business is ‘virtual’, it does not mean you don’t have to put in the time or effort – another statement that I agree with. As this section is just an introduction, there isn’t really any useable information, but Alex does state some home truths about online business which I myself agree with.

In the following section, Alex Jeffrey’s moves on to explain his system in greater detail. First, Alex discusses why sell ebooks. You probably already know by now the benefits of selling ebooks, but if not then they are provided here. After this he discusses just how big the ebook business on eBay is, and provides screenshots to back up his estimates. Again, most people know the ebook business on eBay is huge and this section highlights just how large it really is.

After this Easy Profit Auctions goes on to explain “Why write your own Ebooks?” Alex first answers this question then goes on to explain; Private Label Rights, Viral E-Book Marketing, E-Books without Resell Rights, E-Books with Resell Rights. I found this section particularly informative. I agree with Alex that creating your own products is very important and the key to success online, and in this section Alex covers all the bases of ebook creation in a concise, easy to follow format. In particular Alex provides one great tip for ebook creation which I’ve never considered before. Overall, an excellent section.

Alex then goes on to discuss the tools you will need, breaking them down into sections. He first provides links to the tools you will need and then lists some more recommended tools. After this he explains some of the tools in greater detail. Some of the tools he discusses are Selling Manager Pro, Automated Digital Delivery Software, Pop 3 Email Accounts and your own website. Again this is another excellent section from Alex. He tells eBay ebook sellers why they need each of the tools and how they all work in conjunction to run and automate your eBay ebook business. As a fellow ebook seller I use many of the tools Alex discusses here and find them a must in terms of time and cost savings.

Next Alex discusses keeping track of traffic to your eBay auctions and affiliate marketing. After two extremely informative and detailed section, I found these sections rather basic. The section on keeping track of your traffic tells you how to do so but that’s all. Likewise the section on affiliate marketing explains affiliate marketing in rather basic terms but that’s all. However, to his credit Alex does provide links to two great affiliate marketing resource where you can do further research into the topic if you so wish. Overall, both sections are rather short and basic and don’t contain much information.

After this Alex then goes on to discuss eBay related issues beginning with feedback. In this section Alex details his ‘golden rules’ of feedback and also provides some tips on how to build your feedback quickly. This section is quite detailed and informative. Although some of the information is quite logical, it is useful and the tips on building your feedback quickly are great.

Following this Alex moves on to discuss using HTML (Hyper Text Markup Languge) in your eBay auctions. In this section he makes the very valid point that if you learn the basics of HTML, then you will be able to give your auctions a professional look. Alex then provides a link to a great free HTML training resource. I myself use HTML in all my eBay auctions and agree with Alex that you do need to learn the basics in order to enhance the look of your eBay listings. Overall, Alex makes a good point in this section and provides readers with a great resources to learn HTML.

Next Alex moves on to “Auction Tips” where he explains in great detail how to approach your eBay listing. Alex goes into great detail stating; how to choose a title, how to become a PowerSeller fast, how to create a good sales page and much, much more. I was personally very impressed with this section of Easy Profit Auctions. It is very detailed and Alex pretty much covers all bases concerned with selling ebooks on eBay. In particular, Alex covers the construction of your sales page perfectly, providing tips on both the content and design, as well as telling you how to communicate effectively with your prospective customers. This is definitely one of the best sections of the Easy Profit Auctions website and I rate it as one very fine resource.

Alex then goes on to discuss using both “About Me Pages” and “eBay Shops”. In the section on “About Me” pages Alex discusses how to use your own about me page creatively to generate traffic, and in the section on “eBay Shops” he discusses the benefits of getting your own shop. The creative about me page ideas are good, solid ideas, and I know that they work because I implement them myself. The benefits that Alex lists as factors to get your own eBay shop are also good reasons which should get you thinking about opening your own eBay shop. However, I feel Alex could have gone into greater detail explaining both these topics.

In the next section of Easy Profit Auctions, Alex provides customers with over 20 videos related to selling ebooks on eBay. The topics he covers in these videos include “Leave a feedback trail”, “Brand your Ebooks”, “Automate Ebay 100%”, “Backend Selling on your Thankyou Page” and much more. To be honest I didn’t have chance to watch all the videos but the one I did watch, “Automate Ebay 100%”, was very detailed. In this video Alex dictates step-by-step instructions on how to set up all your eBay emails to be sent automatically and also how to use these emails to generate a little extra traffic. All in all a great video. If any of the other 20+ are half as good to go buy then this is a great resource from Easy Profit Auctions.

After this Alex also provides a collection of audio interviews with big Internet Marketing names including Mike Filsaime and Jason James. These are again valuable resources and I always feel it’s nice to hear other people’s success stories.

The final section of Easy Profit Auctions is “Bonuses” which gives customers access to further free resources. These free resources include; SmartDD (a digital delivery solution), lots of resellable ebooks, free courses and a collection of private label content. Alex also provides access to his tele-conferences in this section. Overall, it looks like a good collection of bonuses with plenty of content made available. I didn’t have a chance to check it all out, but from my initial browse it looks like a great addition to the Easy Profit Auctions site.

On top of all the above sections, Alex Jeffreys also provides Easy Profit Auction customers with a forum. After a quick browse of the forum it looks like a friendly place and a good source of information. It’s a nice addition to the membership site as it allows customers to come together and discuss the ideas they have learned, ask for help when needed, and integrate with like minded eBay ebook sellers.
In conclusion I found Easy Profit Auctions to be a very good resource for eBay ebook sellers, particularly for the price that Alex is charging. He covers a lot of information in his membership site and provides some great bonuses for customers. My main criticism is that I feel maybe Alex has taken on too much with this membership website which means not all topics are covered with the same level of detail. For example, the “Auction Tips” section contains an incredible amount of details, whereas the “About Me Page” and “eBay Shop” sections are considerably less detailed.

Overall, I would recommend Easy Profit Auctions to eBay ebook sellers who are relatively new to the game. Although there is information here which caters to the more experienced eBay ebook sellers, new sellers will gain more. To illustrate this point further I would say that I am a relatively experienced eBay ebook seller, who has done a good level of research into selling ebooks on eBay. I’ve also put my research into practice over a number of years. Because I have a good working knowledge of eBay, many of the ideas Alex discusses are not new to me. However, if I had come across this information two or three years ago then I would have benefited highly from lots of new ideas. I still did learn some new things but I feel ideas such as; using your about me page creatively, the benefits of having an eBay store, and using HTML in your auctions would benefit new eBay ebook sellers the most.

GOOD POINTS

- Alex makes a valid point in that you need to be creating your own ebooks, and provides multiple ideas to get you started on this trail.

- Alex provides a good, comprehensive list of tools that will aid eBay ebook sellers.

- The HTML resource Alex provides is great for those who need to add some sparkle to their eBay auctions.

- The “Auction Tips” section is one of the best sources I have read on creating an eBay listing to sell ebooks.

- Alex provides a multitude of great resources including videos, ebooks, software and courses which are probably worth the price of membership alone.

-The forum is a nice addition which adds a personal touch to Easy Profit Auctions.

BAD POINTS

- Some sections are lacking information including the “About Me Pages” and “eBay Shop” sections.

- Some sections do seem like they have been added as filler content, for example the section on keeping track of traffic to your eBay auctions.

- For some of the resources you have to provide your email address to gain access.
HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM EASY PROFIT AUCTIONS

As I said in the review, although there is a lot of great information in Easy Profit Auctions, I am already implementing a lot of them. However, I did learn a few things including some valuable ebook creation tips and some list building tips I had never considered before.
