The business of internet marketing is still in its youthful days and yet so much has happened in such a short space of time. Amn ever growing group of people have managed to make and maintain amazing income levels through the sale of downloadable or physical information products.
The subjects of the information products are many and varied. They can range from how to play a better game of golf to starting an online internet business from your bedroom. Yet all these products need one essential aspect to make them sell and that is effective marketing.
Most people could sell one or two products but probably without any sustainable income from it. What keeps apart the big players from the newbies is the sheer volume and frequency volume products sold. Some internet marketers have honed their marketing machines so well it is almost akin to an income on demand. A virtual slot machine if you like that pays out every time.
This is impressive and anyone who wants a more comfortable life could be tempted by the potential of getting on board the internet marketing gravy train. And they do just that and invest anything from $50 to a tens of thousands of dollars with the hope that they too can repeat what others have done.
As you might expect not everyone succeeds. It’s a bit like the natural order idea. Only the most persistent and determined are likely to make it. Indeed the odds of not getting a return are higher the less committed you are to the venture. However it is not necessarily the case the marketing training purchased lacked some crucial aspect. More often than not the would be web marketer found the whole process too complicated and they didn’t have the staying power to persist and see things through.
This is where a refreshingly different program that aims to help new web marketers to get going has emerged. A newish internet marketer who has already enjoyed a 6 figure income and if you like, has proved himself, is finding an approach that supports the first nervous steps of the new marketer.
Not only that but he has found away of developing such trust and excitement amongst his students that the students not only get to lead on the sort of training they need but they also have formed a self-supporting forum. Success breeds success as they say and anyone who has joined this program seems more destined for success because of the way the program has been designed.
For the lucky few who managed to sign up to Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program and list building courses the future has never looked rosier. With weekly training sessions and supportive videos a number of the students are already earning and yet encouraging the other students to follow their lead.
It just goes to prove that when one person goes the extra mile the difference can be quite phenomenal.
All I Know About List Building I Learned From Mentor Alex Jeffreys!
Alex played a prominent part in my list building education; a very significant role. Please let me explain and it may help you in your own list building efforts.
Like each webmaster or online marketer I kept hearing from day one how vitally essential it was to build your own opt-in or permission based contact list. It would be the recipe to building traffic and revenue from your site
or online marketing. The one key element you must have.
But building a list is easier said than done, anyone who has tried to build a list will know this fact. I soon realized I needed help with my list building…
I have an operation background, that’s not important, but it did show me how to learn or dissect a subject. I developed a hands-on “let’s dig in and dissect this creature” viewpoint; they learn by exploring and studying the
masters/techniques that have worked in the past.
It was exceptionally helpful when I started to build my lists. I first examined how other well known marketers were building their lists. One common theme that keep repeating itself was: Free gifts.
Almost all these marketers gave away a free gift: report, ebook, ecourse, article, software program, marketing tips or knowledge — all in exchange for the name and email of their visitors.
This simple tactic worked like a charm!
Soon I had my own free gifts (ebooks, ecourses, and free software programs) on all my sites, attached to follow-up autoresponders to keep in contact with
all my visitors and prospects on my lists. My lists grew…
I am happy to pass along the training that I used to be successful
from my mentor, Alex Jeffreys, for free ~ www.Getsecretlistformula.Com
Enjoy and to your success…….

Did you realize that RSS Feeds can potentially step-up traffic to your new new blogs and websites? When you have a new site you will pretty much try anything to spark some initial traffic. You need to do this to get the ball rolling with links, and also as a means of getting “spidered” or noticed by the search engines. These techniques are not specifically laid out in the Alex Jeffreys list building course, so I am posting them here for reference.
In this post we are going to discuss the use of adding a blog RSS feed to accounts like your MyMSN and MyYahoo. I am not sure statistically if this is a sound method of creating traffic, but it makes sense because not only do these sites provide social proof, but they are high traffic sites and get frequent visits from search engine robots. Social proof is a big part of what Alex Jeffreys teaches in his training. This in turn should mean that your content will be indexes quickly. This only takes a few minute to set up, so it sure won’t hurt to implement this tactic as part of your early traffic getting strategy.
Some people have trouble understanding exactly what an RSS feed is and does, so for the record just know that RSS is an acronym that has come to stand for Really Simple Syndication. Many people on the Internet are now using the web to gather news and information, and for this reason use these feeds as a means to staying on top of favorite subjects.
This means that if you have a blog that is getting good traffic and getting indexed for keywords in your niche, you stand a very good chance of having people subscribe to your RSS feed. This also will help with the distribution of your feeds across various networks, and is another reason why you should submit to as many RSS feed directories as you can. Keep track of your feed submissions, since you only want to submit to each directory only once.
RSS feeds work both ways, and just like links you can have outbound and inbound RSS feeds. You can see an example of an inbound RSS in the right hand sidebar of my feeder blog at http://blog.evanbeckonline.com. I use RSS news feeds to create consistent updates of relevant content to my blogs and websites using widgets. I also am going to test adding RSS feeds with a plugin to pages and posts for the same reason. These feeds will update the individual post and pages, and should keep the spiders coming back for more indexing. It is a way to refresh content on a continuous basis. In some ways you can think of it as being the same as updating older content. My thinking is that these feeds also pass some page rank.
I prefer to use WordPress as a platform to build sites because of the flexibility and tools available. WordPress actually has an RSS feature built into it, and you can see my “green” RSS button in the top right hand of the header of this site. If you have sites that do not have this feature, you can create RSS feeds on the fly using services like Feedage.com and RSSMix.com. These services are self explanatory and easy to use. I have used another service called Feedkiller to create a combined RSS mix feed for both this site and the Evan Beck Online Blog (my feeder blog) that I add to all my posts on both sites. I then created two feed buttons that looks like this (these are not active, but the one at the top of this post will take you to my live RSS feed):
Now back to this process of using your profiles in MyYahoo and MyMSN in conjunction with RSS to create links and traffic. Creating and implementing these RSS feeds should create higher visibility in all the SERPs. Below are the instructions to get started in adding RRS feed content to your My Yahoo account and your My MSN account that hopefully will result in some initial search engine traffic and ranking. Keep in mind that you have to first have accounts at Yahoo and MSN to do this.
You can create a Yahoo and MSN account for free. Start by first go to Yahoo and follow the instructions below. Watch the video in this post to see how to sumbit your RSS feeds to hundreds of RSS directories to create many hundreds of backlinks.
1. Go to Yahoo.com and select the “My Yahoo” button at the top left hand side of the page.
2. Next click on the “Sign Up Now-It’s FREE” link.
3. You will be asked to “Choose your interests to get started.” Enter a few selections and click save.
4. Follow the screen instructions and click “Sign Up” in the bottom right corner.
5. Enter the required information on the next screen to create your User ID. “Check availability of this ID” and confirm
that the ID you want is available. Select the registration code and click in “I Agree”.
6. On the next screen select “Continue to My Yahoo”.
7. At the top left corner of the following screen click “Add Content”.
8. On the next screen you then click “Add RSS by URL” and enter your blog RSS feed.
Now that you have added your blog RSS feed your My Yahoo, you can go to MSN.com and complete a similar process. Just login (or sign up), and continue to follow the instructions with screen prompts that are presented.

Learn yo generate traffic and increase website traffic. First you need to understand the concept of a feeder blog. There are different ideas and different ways of developing and using feeder blogs.
I have written what I consider to be a pretty important page about Alex Jeffreys Reviews on the Evan Beck Blog. In hindsight, I maybe should have posted it here on the main site. So I reference it here.
The post is an ongoing project in that it showcases many of the online reviews that I read about Alex Jeffreys, and then post to the blog as they are reviewed. The intent is to provide a place where people can read honest reviews without all the hype associated with online promotions. This is similar to what I am trying to accomplish with the page about Alex Jeffreys Videos.
Many of these posts are written by former and present students of Alex Jeffreys, and in that regard you need to realize that there will be few negative comments to be found.
As of this writing, I am probably only a little more than half way through his list building course. So, it may be hard to be objective without replaying info about anticipated success. This, of course, is part of the intent of this course.
Don’t read this wrong. Alex Jeffreys is a brilliant marketer and it is hard to argue with his success. Alex is quite honest about what is required to be successful online, and in many ways he does not pull any punches. This is not a get rich quick scheme, and there is a stated long term proposition that requires work.
My goal is still to develop long term relationships with others on and off line, in pursuit of building a group of successful online businesses. To that end, take the time to comment on this post, and also take the time to read the Alex Jeffreys Reviews.
Should you have a link that you want reviewed and included, just post it in the comments.
I guess before you can build and use a Feeder Blog, you first need to understand the concept. As you might expect, there are different theories and different strategies for developing and utilizing such blogs, and here are my thoughts on the subject. The video above is mostly for entertainment (not an endorsement for auto-blogging software), as building spam sites will get you nowhere in the search engines. However, the video does effectively portray the problems and frustrations of always having to update content.
I have been successful in using so-called feeder blogs to build on the 3 things I know are important for gaining extra traffic, and therefore ranking in the SERPs. You can actually even flip that around, since you also can view this from the perspective that you have to be noticed around the web to get traffic. It’s kind of the chicken and the egg thing again. Some say you have to rank in the search engines to get traffic, and others will swear you can’t rank unless you have the traffic first. It does make sense that If you rank well for certain keywords, then you will automatically get more organic traffic. This works particularly well to boost traffic to a static website that is seldom updated with new information.
I consistently find that this always boils down to having the best and most of three things: Keywords, Content, and Links. So, you can say that a feeder blog is a way to get more keywords, more content, and more links. Another aspect of this feeder blog thing is that I like to have these three things build in a semi-automated fashion. This assures that I can spend more time writing more in-depth articles and content pages (like this), but allows for my sites to be updated with fresh content in a consistent way and on a regular basis.
So, the idea is simple and it’s just a matter of putting it into best practice. Some people will define feeder blogs as a series of min-sites, usually built on micro-blogging platforms and somehow connected together to create a network, as a way to get your sites more links and noticed on the search engines. I guess that technically this is true as well, but I call that approach a blog network, or a “link wheel” that uses Web 2.0 type properties to build and distribute links. And yes, my version of a feeder blog does the same thing, as the purpose of both is to help create inbound links to your websites, blogs, or network of sites.
You probably have noted that many A-list bloggers often have secondary blogs, where they do little more than post links to things they find of interest related to their niche, but somehow not suitable for an individual post. These types of postings can also be considered a feeder blog system, and also are referred to as speed links. The main purpose being to “feed”, or “point” links somewhere else. Others have called this technique “blog and ping” or “post and ping”.
I use the above technique as well, but in a more specific way to alert the search engines of links I want to get noticed and make sure that these links get indexed. I use a blogger blogspot blog to do this and will be writing a separate post on blog and ping.
You won’t have to go far to see my version of a feeder blog in action. In fact, I have a feeder blog attached to this site. The Evan Beck Blog is also actually part of this website, Evan Beck Online. It is a second instance of WordPress installed as a sub-domain (a separate folder and database). Mouse over the link and you will see the url is: http://blog.evanbeckonline.com. In this case this is, in effect, a blog on top of a blog. It is a blog attached to another blog.
I am using the power and flexibility of the WordPress platform to have my main domain look and feel more like a website, and then drip feeding, keywords, content, and links in a steady fashion to the second attached blog using plugins that semi-automate much of the process. I also use RSS feeds to bring in fresh content through widgets for the same reason.
As keywords build and content builds, over time so do the tags, the tag cloud and categories, giving a more powerful link structure related to the overall website. This helps the search engines to understand that this site is about traffic generation, SEO, and list building.
Additionally, the question and answer format of most of the content on the feeder blog not only brings extra traffic, but it is useful information for readers as well. This is the same idea behind pages like the one on the navigation bar titled “Alex Jeffreys videos”. Do a search on that keyword phrase without the quotation marks, and my feeder blog is usually listed about the middle of the first page of Google out of 3.8 million indexed pages.
This just shows that search engines (Google in particular) like lists, and content that is organized and presented in a certain way. After all, that is what search engines are built to do…search and index information online. So, provide them good information, and more of it in a way that is easy to navigate, and they will send you the traffic.
The use of feeder blogs is a great way to get your e-commerce sites positioned well in the SERPs. These are simple special purpose blogs that feed relevant content to another website using the power of a blog platform and other tools like RSS feeds, plugins, and widgets. This new website is a good example of how a feeder blog should work conceptually. It has been designed using a highly optimized theme, taking advantage of a heat map, and certain free and paid plugins to maximize traffic.
Feeder blogs can be developed prior to launching a new website. A linking strategy should be planned out with the majority of links pointing to the target site. However, links should not be exclusive to the target site. Inbound and outbound links should be built to and from the feeder blog. Internal linking and navigation are necessary to the overall linking strategy.
Always keep in mind that a feeder blog needs to be a credible source of information. Blogs naturally get indexed often by search engines, and this is the power of this strategy. Feeder blogs should grow steadily and naturally, because search engines like consistency and feeder blogs are consistent because of the semi-automated tools that can be used.
Feeder blogs are only part of an overall traffic strategy. Your sites should be structured and optimized. That’s why I like tools that create things like sitemaps, and plugins like All-In-One SEO to properly format your content and permalinks to aid search for both humans and search engines alike.
You do want to have other strategies for building relevant keywords, content, and links, but feeder blogs should be on the forefront of your planning when launching a new site. This way you can then feed your sites with these 3 big traffic pulling ingredients on a regular basis right from the very beginning. An extra bonus is that these sites are very low-maintenance.
So, use feeder blogs to support and augment you blogging efforts and promote your other website properties. You will find that it is beneficial to build a constant stream of traffic and links from other sites, and building feeder blogs is one of the best ways to accomplish this.
In closing, please let me know if think these ideas are useful, or if you have more information or experience about feeder blogs by leaving your comments below.

Creating Instant Vital Links Using Social Media Network Sites
Just as my new friend Gil is focused on the three areas of Traffic, List Building, and Email Marketing, I currently am focused on the first leg of building traffic.
In my testing I believe the three most important components of getting traffic are: Keywords, Content, and Links. You can almost be guaranteed organic search engine traffic with the proper keyword research, writing original content, and building relevant inbound links. This is all about search engine positioning.
One of the problems newcomers to online marketing face immediately is how to find and create worthwhile backlinks to their website properties. Building links is time consuming, and most certainly a boring task. The techniques described in this post are no exception to this, but I think you will find that the rewards are great, if you take the time to carry this out. There are a few basic reasons why this technique works.
First off, few people will actually take the time to do this correctly because it is, quite honestly, a chore and most people are lazy. This means a small percentage of people are actually using this technique of building “vital links” from a long list of social networking sites. No doubt, you are probably not in the game, if you are not already applying the networking power and link building potential of the powerhouse sites that are well-known like Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace.
However, there is a big reason why you should consider investing your time in joining as many of these other sites as possible. It is because Google, Yahoo!, and Bing are all reportedly placing a great deal of interest and value in the social network scene. These tend to be networks with large memberships, are well trafficked, and have high page rank…and this means instant traffic, instant ranking, and instant backlinks for you. These sites provide what is often referred to as “social proof”, and they will help your site gain trust in the search engines.
While there is no way you can actually participate in all these social networking sites in a meaningful way, the goal here is simply to get a unique profile posted, with a focus of using targeted keywords and links pointing back to your websites and blogs.
That being said, you should definitely want be an active contributor in many of your favorite social network sites, but also be aware that there are literally hundreds of other networking sites that you can easily join that will instantly give you a one-way backlink to your website or blog.
Need proof of the power of these links? Here is an extract from the Google Review Manual that should give you a pretty clear picture:
“…It is not uncommon today for individuals to maintain various types of personal pages on the Web. Homepages, social networking pages, and blogs have become increasingly popular. Some individuals have more than one blog and/or more than one homepage on a social networking site (e.g. MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Mixi). When these pages are maintained by the individual (or an authorized representative of the individual), they are all considered to be Vital…”
Now, we know that there are many hundreds, if not thousands of these type of sites. Potentially, you can even add to the list niche forums and all kinds of niche specific directories that are listed online, with new sites being launched all the time.
Here comes the down side. Because of the time involved, you will have to do this over an extended period (or hire someone else to do this for you) and it will take a bit of review and research on you part. You need to find and use only those sites that have profile pages, and more importantly, permit you to insert a website or blog URL using a clickable link. I have been experimenting with this, and you can build an incredible number of vital links with valuable backlinks to your sites.
Just remember, there is a dual purpose mission here, create instant vital backlinks to your sites, and potentially send direct traffic to your sites from the members in each site that you join. Just like Alex Jeffreys hammers home in his coaching program about Twitter, you do not want to use your account profiles to try and pimp or promote a product or service. Try to use these networks to sell…and you not only will quickly be ignored, but you also may be banned from using your account.
Think of social networking sites as a way to sell yourself, and then people will be more likely to visit your sites through the links you provide. Also, don’t send these valuable links to landing pages, or affiliate links. These should be links directed to a blog or an information site with value added content.
This is an ongoing process, and particularly with new sites you can’t and don’t want to build links too fast. That will only get you noticed by the search engines in a bad way. Take your time and build these vital links in a steady and consistent fashion. Your link building should also be from only related and relevant sites within your niche.
Be aware not to build any type of links in a way that would leave a large footprint for the search engines to rubber stamp as a link building scheme. This is also why it is probably not a such a good idea to use automated link building software. This is software that builds thousands of links from unrelated sites overnight.
Here are some other tips to apply when subscribing to social network sites. Bookmark each site and profile with only a few and different bookmarking services using a different set of broad phrases, descriptions, keywords, and tags. You also can cross link various sites in a random pattern, but always avoid reciprocal linking. This is similar to a link wheel, or a blog network, which will be defined and explained in a future posts.
You may note that it is not always easy to create a username and content that is related to your niche. Transparency seems to be the winning way today, so just create original content about yourself and use your real name (or variations of your name). You also should be creating your own personal branding, and profiles that attempt to use transactional keywords in profiles no longer work, and only will set off bells and whistles that more than likely make your profile considered spam.
So, you probably are wondering where to start. Here is a list of social media and network sites with descriptions compiled at Traffikd.com. This list is continually updated with new listings.
Lastly, can I ask you if I provide value in this post? If you think so, or want to add something to the conversation, I would appreciate your comments. Leave a comment to this post and I will be sure to send you a free report I am writing about creating “Link Wheels” and a technique I am testing and calling “Link Wheel Spinning”.
